ABOUT AICIMIDS
The development of digital media has brought about significant changes in the lives of contemporary Muslim communities. This transformation has not only influenced communication patterns but also shaped religious authority, social identity, political behavior, the creative economy, and even the way Islamic knowledge is produced and disseminated.
Amidst these developments, the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, initiated the Annual International Conference on Islam, Media, and Digital Society (AICIMIDS) as an annual academic forum bringing together academics, researchers, media practitioners, students,
policymakers, and the international community to discuss various strategic issues related to Islam, media, and digital society.
This International conference is expected to become an academic legacy of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, as well as a sustainable annual international forum.
Conference participants are targeted to come from the ASKOPIS network, domestic and international universities, research institutions, media outlets, community organizations, as well as students and professional practitioners. With the extensive ASKOPIS network and the high level of involvement of member institutions, this conference has the potential to reach a large and diverse audience. All journal results that meet the Scopus category will be published in The Howard Journal of Communication (Q2), Cogent Art and Humanities (Q2), Millah Journal (Q2) and Studies in Media and Communication.
